Mr. and Mrs. John C Malina

In September of 1944 with a priority number from the U.S. Air Force for equipment, John C. Malina started Dovee Mfg. Co. He was subcontracted to manufacture brass components for radar installations to be used in the Norden bombsight.

At the end of the war the company continued specializing in tool and die and added punch presses to enter the stamping business. In 1961 the founder died and the business was continued by his widow, Dorothy L. Malina. By 1963 both of their sons were involved and continued to expand their capacity by adding multiple punch presses, welding capabilities, forming and packaging.   With a continuing dedication to our customer needs and specifications the third generation entered the business in 1993.  We continue to strive to exceed our customer expectations providing laser and stamping solutions that adhere to our core values.  The addition of a new 2kW fiber laser in 2019 is proof that we continue to evolve.

Always striving to supply our very best to all our customers we foster an environment built on teamwork that provides the backdrop for improved quality and service.  We manufacture metal component pieces as stampings or laser cut parts proudly.  We’ve been doing it for 75 years and we like what we do.  It’s what sets us apart.

Originating in Chicago, the company has now expanded into its current 20,000 square foot location in Elgin, Il.
